Chapel Hill, NC (2/24/15) – Debra Magnuson, Leadership Development Director at leading global talent management solutions provider Career Partners International, Twin Cities spoke on professional value propositions at the 2015 Annual Leadership Challenge Conference at St. Catherine University on January 29th.
The 18th Annual Leadership Challenge Conference is a day of education and dialogue for professional women eager to enhance their leadership skills. The conference brings together professional women from corporate, small business, government, education and nonprofit settings to share their interest in ethical leadership that will have a positive, lasting impact on people, organizations and communities.
Magnuson’s presentation, “What’s Your Value Proposition? Positioning Yourself for the Job You Want,” shared her insights, experiences and best practices that have helped hundreds of people gain a clear understanding of the unique value they bring to their organizations or the companies where they desire to work.
“By taking part in this year’s conference, I wanted to ensure the attendees understand how to identify and communicate what makes them and their work valuable,” commented Magnuson. “Understanding the skills they bring to employers and effectively communicating these through professional value propositions accelerates their career success.”
Magnuson is an instructor in St. Catherine University’s Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program as well as a long-time instructor and coach with St. Catherine’s Leadership Institute. She works through both Career Partners International, Twin Cities and St. Catherine University to help individuals reach their full career potential and achieve their aspirations.
“Debra is an inspirational leader that values giving back to her community,” commented David P. Hemmer, President and CEO of Career Partners International. “She is enabling these professionals to effectively communicate their value to organizations and accelerate their careers, and we’re elated that she was able to speak at the conference.”
